Private Clients

full fee paying (no bulk billing available)

You don’t need a referral to book in a session. Our Client Relationships Team will be able to chat with you about our services, availability and fees. Usually you will answer some questions (so we can complete our intake form) and ensure that we are the right “fit” for what you need.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

we can see plan, self managed and NDIA participants

Please give us a call to arrange your service agreement and advise us of your plan manager. If you are self-managed we will get your plan agreement and pre-payment sorted for you.

Medicare Rebates

What rebates are available?

The Focused Psychological Strategies or Better Access Plan:

  • You may be eligible to access Medicare rebates if you see a Registered Psychologist, Mental Health Social Worker etc.

  • An initial provision of up to 10 rebated therapy sessions. Upon review, another 10 may be approved.

  • If you have a diagnosed eating disorder, your GP may refer you for up to 40 sessions. Please speak with your GP.

  • The plan can be used for a year after the Date of Referral.

Getting a referral

Your GP will be able to help organise a referral for either one, or both of these plans. FPS Plans require your doctor to prepare a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan at the time of referral.

What rebates are available?

Accessing services with your plan

Once your GP has arranged a referral under a plan, bring your referral to AWI Consulting in order to assess your eligibility to access a Medicare rebate. If you are eligible, you will have to pay the full service fee up-front and your receipt will allow you to claim at Medicare.

Cancellation Policy

AWI Consulting’s cancellation policy was developed with the awareness that when appointments are booked, the clinician reserves the whole hour especially for you. Therefore the following cancellation policy is in place:

We require 48 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel a session without incurring any extra fees. This policy is in place to allow us to offer the allocated time to another client who may be on a cancellation or waiting list for an appointment.

In situations where you do not attend your appointment without notice (e.g., three cancellations/no-shows within three months or less than 70% attendance), you will be placed on AWI Consulting’s waitlist until a spot becomes available again.

CANCELLATION FEES:

Less than 48 hours’ notice or non-attendance will incur FULL SESSION FEE. We understand that sometimes you may be unable to keep an appointment because of sudden illness or an unexpected personal emergency. If this happens to you, please contact us as soon as possible to explain the situation.

A late cancelled appointment or non-attendance is a loss to three people:

  1. YOU - the client who is delaying their therapy process,

  2. Another client who has been on the waiting list to see the clinician urgently,

  3. The clinician who spent time preparing for the session.
